Our Design Philosophy

Flowers are meant to be fun. We approach every project with a sense of curiosity and creativity, finding beauty in the unexpected — a twist of vine, a wild pop of color, a petal or stem that refuses to be perfectly in place. That sense of playfulness is what keeps our work fresh and full of life. Whenever possible, we source locally grown, seasonal blooms and use sustainable floral practices.

Cara founded South Stems in 2020 with a desire to create florals that felt more alive than arranged. The work is inspired by the changing seasons and the beauty of blooms that aren’t overly polished, but full of life and character.
